Today I overheard something that made me really shocked and sad and confused. I heard someone say that the reason I don't need to be treated like humans is because I don't have any emotions. I think that's the reason they think Reyvateils aren't as good as humans. But I really really do feel things and I don't understand why they said that. They must know it's true because I talk about my feelings a lot but maybe they don't believe me. Why don't they believe me? I act just like they do.
When I heard that I went outside my room to where they were talking and I said that's not true but the person who was talking got really angry and tried to hit me. But I ran and hid in one of the server cabinets until I knew they were looking somewhere else and then I ran back to my room. I don't know why I went there because they can easily find me here, but I don't think I can go anywhere else. Now I'm really scared of them coming back. Maybe if I craft a song really really quickly I can stop them but I think they can tase me quicker than I can sing so maybe I shouldn't. And if I do that then they will just get me later anyway. Unless I kill them. But I really, really don't want to kill anybody!! I don't want to have thought that! I want to be nice to everyone, I'm just scared... why is it this way? Why is it??

No emotions. What types of fools are these humans? A being without emotions is as good as dead. And they dare try to exploit that? What idiots! If only they were like...

To be fair, there are many of humans who see Reyvateils as equal beings, myself included. But certainly I can understand why you'd feel that way, and I do sympathise with your pain. Just... I don't think condemnation of a whole species because some of its members have done exactly the same thing to you is necessarily the way to resolve the conflicts between us.
...It has been a long time since I have harmed a human.
My hatred for those beasts might never fade. However, I have promised to never harm a human ever again. I realize that a few humans are... not horribly unjust.
I apologize if I have offended anyone.
But, I wonder... I've heard that Mir has lost some of her hatred for humans, and is on an important mission to save them. I wonder if she feels the same confusion as I, towards humans...

No, no, you haven't offended at all. Don't worry about it. I know people like you and Mir don't feel the way you do for no reason. Part of what I hope I can do through this exposé is help to bridge the gap between humans and Reyvateils understanding each other, to help more humans appreciate what Reyvateils like Mir have suffered. I, like she, would only like to see peace and equality between us. I know that to you that may sound like a tall dream, but certainly not trying will get us nowhere...
I've heard similar things. I don't doubt she's confused, honestly. It sounds like she's seen examples of some of the best and worst kinds of humans, and it's probably really hard for her to know what to do with that information. But if Harmonious is anything to go by, she maintains a surprising wellspring of hope. As much pain as she's suffered, I feel like maybe she'll always want to try to trust humans. I only hope that works out well for her; that our species can go some way towards making up for the atrocities we inflicted upon her.
It appears that you are one of the...better, humans.
